Writing for Fox Sports web site ex-Socceroo Paul Trimboli believes that Gold Coast United still have some unfinished business as they will want to make the grand final at least.
Trimboli beieves that Newcastle have suffered an incredible fall from grace as they were looking like they could challenge all and sundry for the premiership, but have really fell away.
Gold Coast's confidence won't be the best because of the way they finished the premiership not getting a point in their last two matches but Trimboli believes they've got some strong individuals in their squad - Jason Culina and Shane Smeltz - and their confidence in themselves gets dented too easily.
Trimboli says Newcastle, with the run of form they've been in, will really struggle to challenge Gold Coast on the Gold Coast.
