Cougars Hard QSL Draw

E-mail Print PDF

Webbers Retravision Capricorn Cougars have a tough start to the Hyundai QSL season with an away match against minor premiers Brisbane Strikers on 27 March kicking things off.

The Strikers may have had a player clean out but the club always sets the benchmark in Brisbane and will surely be amongst the QSL front runners again.  Local supporters won't have to wait long to see the Cougars in action at their new home ground - the Frenchville Sports Club, with a match against near neighbours, Whitsunday Miners, scheduled for the weekend of 3/4 April.

The reduction from 11 to eight teams will see the Cougars make two away trips to Mareeba, one at the end of April and another at the end of July, which is the most difficult journey of the competition.

One matter that has to be settled is whether the Cougars will play home games on Saturday or Sunday.

The full Cougars draw is published on the back page of todays Morning Bulletin.
